About the class
Pūrākau are more than stories — they are our living oral histories. Each pūrākau carries the voices, values, and experiences of our atua, our tīpuna, and ourselves. These narratives remind us that knowledge is not confined to books or classrooms but lives within our relationships, our lands, and our lived experiences.
In this collective space of learning, sharing, and connection, we will explore the wisdom woven through Atua pūrākau while also uncovering the stories that emerge from our own whakapapa and life journeys. Through the act of sharing our pūrākau, we strengthen the threads that bind us to our ancestors and impart deep and meaningful mātauranga (knowledge) throughout the generations.
Nau mai, hoki mai, wānanga mai rā.
