About the class
Join Amelia Butler, founder and director of Learn Māori Abroad, for an in-person Māori language and culture class in New York City.
This wānanga welcomes learners from all backgrounds, whether you are an absolute beginner taking your first steps with te reo Māori or an advanced speaker looking to deepen and refine your skills.
The session offers a supportive and engaging environment where participants can learn, practice, and connect through te reo Māori and Te Ao Māori. Activities are adapted to suit different experience levels, with opportunities to build confidence in speaking, strengthen understanding, and engage with the language and culture in meaningful and practical ways.
Come together with fellow learners to celebrate and grow your connection to te reo Māori and Māori culture in a shared, in-person learning space.
