ABOUT US

Learn Māori Abroad is the number one source for Māori language and culture on Turtle Island (USA).  We offer online te reo Māori courses, cultural classes and kapa haka workshops to learners living abroad.  Our performance group, Ngāti Ānahera, shares our traditional Māori dances and songs across the US. Learn Māori Abroad is based on the lands of the Tongva, Chumash and Tataviam peoples in Los Angeles, California.  We look forward to sharing our culture with you!

HAKA WORKSHOPS

Online or in-person for your workplace, school or group

The haka is the traditional war dance of the Māori, the indigenous people of New Zealand.  It was made famous by the All Blacks rugby team.  Now is your chance to learn this well-known, enlivening and invigorating dance and experience the power of this cultural phenomenon.
